SKU: CA6BBGR
ON THE BACK:
The male blackbird lives up to its name. However, the female and the juveniles are brown and often have streaks and spots on their breasts. Only the male has a bright orange bill and matching circle around the eye. A typical lifespan is three years but one individual was recorded living to fifteen years old. Blackbirds eat a wide range of foods varying from worms and insects to fruits and berries. Fallen apples are a popular source of food through the autumn and winter.
