Dipper- notelet (A6)

SKU: CA6DIRO

ON THE BACK:

Dippers live on fast-flowing upland rivers and streams feeding on insects and small fish which they seek out by walking along the bed of the river or stream. Breeding takes place early in the year from February onwards. The domed nest of moss, grass and leaves, with a downward-pointing entrance, is built in a crevice (under bridges being a popular site). One nest site is said to have been in continuous use for 123 years!
