Helping hedgehogs to move freely between gardens is one way you can help to reverse the dramatic decline in hedgehog numbers over the last 20 years. A 13cm square hole in a fence or wall to enable them to pass freely from one garden to the next. Leaving part of a garden to go wild and having a log pile will provide a source of slugs and invertebrates for them to eat.
