Tawny chicks growing fast ...

The pair of tawny chicks that fledged at the end of April (see previous posts) are nearing four months from when they hatched. They have lost most of their downy feathers and look far more like their parents. The two siblings now sound distinctly different from each other but one thing hasn't changed ... they are both still very vocal!

At the end of the recording the chicks call intensely as a parent approaches then feeds one of them.
